“Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?” Psalm 15:1 Do you want to live with God?
Do you want to live with the Lord God? King David did and he gave us some great direction if you want to abide in Christ. He gave us this in Psalm 15 verses 1 through 3.
Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?
He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue,
who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman.
We hear a lot about people who say they have faith in Jesus for salvation but their lives don’t look like it. Their lives are not blameless, which doesn’t mean perfect. But instead, they don’t tell the truth. They lie and deceive others. They don’t even call them little white lies but stubbornly say it’s the truth when all evidence is against them. Then they gaslight you if you try to correct them.
They slander anyone who gets in their way. If they repeat the slander long enough, they actually get others to believe them. They also abuse the people around them. When their neighbors complain, they just call them names and put the blame on them.
That is not the way a true Christian behave. Listen to Galatians 5 verses 22 and 23. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” If these adjectives don’t line up with our way of life, we really need to examine ourselves. We may not be there yet, but according to David, we can’t be living like we did before we claimed to become a Christian because we aren’t living on God’s holy hill.
If your life hasn’t changed then you probably don’t know Jesus. If you want to really know Jesus then watch my video on YouTube, "The Gospel" It will tell you how to repent and be saved. Then you will be able to live or abide in Christ.
May God Bless you!
